Without looking at the JCrew website, please tell me how much you think this dress should cost and how much you think it does cost. Keep in mind, the fabic is a mid-weight cotton and again, it is from JCrew. Make your estimated guesses and we will discuss tomorrow.
Hmmm, I'm not all too familiar with their stuff or their prices. But I'd say it should cost around... $150 or so, based on all that fabric (even if it is only cotton).
But, I'd say that JCrew is probably wanting somewhere around $400 for it.
I'm with Cece. You better get crack with it! Okay, let me give you my estimation as a serious crafter.
Okay, so to make a absurdly long patchwork dress out of 72 different fabrics...including thread and interfacing and a little bit of ribbon...the cost to make it is approximately $40. At a 5000% markup because it's J Crew. I say, uh, math was never my strong suit. :)
Um. I'm not the shopping type but I would not pay more than say $30 for it. And then I would kill myself because I would then know that I had lost my freaking mind. (i don't do dresses)
I am a twenty-something newlywed just trying to stay true to myself. I grew up in Central New York and now live in Central Virginia. I can be at the center of your world too.

Knowing J. Crew, I'll guess $300.
Crap, Janet guessed that. I'm with her.
J. Crew has been adding in an awful lot of wildly, overpriced items lately!

Personally, I feel that they should be paying me to wear that ugly monstrosity.
I've never been in a JCrew. Now I know why.

I would say $7-$12 at a THRIFT STORE! That thing is ugly!
I hope you didn't have your heart set on buying it, or I'll feel bad for calling it ugly. lol
